No Regrets!

How many decisions do you make in a day?

How many of those do you regret?

From buying those shoes, to having that extra piece of cake. Many of our regrets are quite small fry, but do you ever have one of those BIG ones? You know, the ones that change the course of your life?

I’ve had a few. Just a few though…..

When I was a young man I got involved in a relationship with a girl that was not good for me. As a result I ended up with a load of debt and emotional baggage I would carry around for the next few years. My biggest regret in life is not turning my life over to Jesus sooner. Honestly since that momentous moment I don’t think I’ve made a single bad choice! (Not really!!!) BUT my life has certainly improved and my decision making skills have improved dramatically.

So, if your life is a result of the decisions you make, what story do you want to tell the following generations in the future? Or what would you like people to say about you, once you’ve passed away?

Most will forget your achievements and the things you owned. The material stuff in life isn’t really that valuable when passed through the lens of death and legacy.

I believe that living as a follower of Jesus is a life without regret. The reason is I believe that living unselfishly for the good of others can only be a great way to spend your life.

Only a life lived for others, is a life worthwhile. Albert Einstein

There may be plenty of things we regret in our past, but I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you, that today is a brand new day. We can give ourselves to Jesus right now and make the best decision of our lives. Whatever the difficulties we currently face, or even in the midst of incredible pain and suffering, we can choose how to respond. Even if our lives rated as a ‘10 out of 10,’ living a new life entirely for God will ensure a better future for us, for those close to us, for a long time to come.
