Strength in Adversity & New Beginnings

We are living in an historic moment of time. Years from now, the Prime Minister's address to the nation will be regarded as a significant moment in our fight against this invisible enemy, covid19!

Countless conspiracy theories abound as to how all this started, from Chinese government to a divine judgement, but however it started, if we cling to what is good, society can choose a better way of life in the future.

I don't believe God created this circumstance so that we would pull together as community or to bring about a spiritual awakening, but I do believe that God can and will use this time for these good purposes to come to the fore.

We as a human race need to step away from the selfish, autonomous and isolated lifestyles we've been deceived into living, and look to the good of togetherness and being contented with what we have, yet hopeful for better in the future.

The big question is...

Will you choose to return to your way of life once this season has passed?

You have an amazing opportunity to re-evaluate your life and values right now. If not, this chance may be lost forever and you ll get swept back into the hurry, busy and worry of modern life. And if left unchecked will get worse. Faster, busier, and more anxiety driven than before.

I encourage you to take a few moments and to decide for yourself, without Instagram influences or media infiltration, how you would like to live the rest of your days.

We need to take into serious consideration the words of Paul as he wrote to the churches at Ephesus in the 1st century

Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV)

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
